“Start a blog?! But what on Earth will I write about?”
Starting your own blog is, quite simply, a fabulous idea for your business. Not only does it help you add a personal face to your business, it’s also a GREAT way to get free traffic from Google and the other search engines.
(Because there’s nothing they like more then fresh, original, and frequently updated content!)
However, when I tell my students they need to start their own blog, they often look at me like I’m crazy.
"But I’m not a writer!" they cry. "What on earth could I possibly write about that would interest my visitors?"

The good news is, you don’t HAVE to be a professional writer to have an incredibly successful blog. All you have to do is be able to write passionately about the subjects that matter to your industry, and let your personality shine through so people can feel like they know you..
And while we do recommend you try to publish at least 2-3 posts on your blog a week, they don’t have to be very long! In fact, they shouldn’t be. People don’t go to blogs expecting to read in-depth essays. A blog post that’s only 200 words — or even shorter — is perfectly fine.
(To give you an idea of how long that is, by the time I reach the end of this sentence, this blog post will be 231 words long.)
The challenge most people experience is having to come up with different things to write about all the time. So to help with that, today I’d like to share my…

I agree, Derek! Blogging is a great way to boost sales, increase exposure for your business, and increase traffic to your website.
Great article, and great suggestions! I think we all suffer from a bit of “writers block” from time to time, and your list of suggestions should do the trick of getting the creative juices flowing.
Thanks for the great list.

Hi barry,
you can use blogspot.com if you want to create your own blog for free. if you have your own web hosting, you can use wordpress.org and install it into your webserver.
A great site!!!!!!
Helped me to know lots about the blog.
I got a great help check out :- http://avenuesusa.biz and http://avenuesnepal.com for the help that change tthe look of mine business.Which turn my business from zoom to boom.
That’s a handy list, but there is one thing we should all keep in mind, that writing in a way that simply promotes your products won’t keep people coming to your site. Be a bit controversial, critisize something which you think is nto beneficial to people.
Also, try to discuss issues which might not be directly related to your business, but are informative to your reader. keeps things interested.
(b.t.w. if any body wants to network with me to increase our respective businesses, your most welcome, just ping me at http://www.infobulb.com )
I think i should add on to why start a blog? Blogging requires effort and time in writing and publishing fresh contents every other day. No one would want to visit a blog with the last article written 1 month ago. So before you decide to blog, ask yourself if you can commit to it.
