Phrase Match By The IMC Team | Posted February 23rd, 2009
Phrase match is an option you’re given when you “bid” on keywords through pay-per-click advertising. Selecting phrase match just means that when someone types your exact phrase into the search engine, your ad will appear. The phrase match sort order doesn’t filter out additional words that appear to the beginning or end of the phrase.
So if you bid on the phrase “parrot feed,” your ad would be matched up with searches for “diet parrot feed.” However, it wouldn’t appear for the search phrase “diet feed for parrots.”
