Which Mobile Apps Can You Not Live Without?

80% of your social media can be done on the fly with the use of a smartphone and mobile friendly apps.

Time is your most valuable commodity and these 5 mobile apps will save you time, all the time. Social Media is like grout, you can fit it into the cracks of your day.

I can’t imagine living without these five mobile apps:

Facebook

Everyone is on facebook, if you want to catch fish then you need to go where the fish are. Build relationships here.

Hootsuite

Social marketing is activity based, meaning you can document what you doing, learning, experiencing or teach on the fly. Hootsuite allows you to do this very efficiently. Set up your desktop profile 1st and them import from their to your smartphone.

Dropbox

Not sure how I lived without dropbox for so long, I’m amazed at how many times I use it on the go to access files, once you get the hang of it you too will wonder how you lived without it for so long. I have dropbox installed on 2 computers and 2 mobile devices….so handy.

Evernote

Same as dropbox but for notes and so much more, evernote is a very powerful tool to keep you organized. Their punch lines are “Remember Everything, Capture Anything, Access Anywhere, Find Things Fast” and they are all true. Again this is installed on 2 computers and 2 mobile devices.

Please tell us which apps you cannot live without. Thanks!

    Great post, Owen.

My current faves are Evernote, which I pair with Skitch; Tweetbot which I prefer to Hootsuite; Read it Later which I seriously can’t live without – and won’t use any app that won’t integrate (Flipboard :-().

I also love the Kindle app, iCatcher, Dropbox (ok, can’t live without Dropbox either), and Goodreader (can’t say enough good things about Goodreader for PDFs and annotating).

I just switched from iPhone to Android 2 days ago and am learning new apps as we go unfortunately Goodreader and tweetbot are not available. Have to admit i am a little bias to hootsuite…supporting to home town biz.

      thanks for your reply.

Hey Owen, you should give Zukmo a try, one of my favourite. Helps you to manage all your content. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

These are my top 5, and I can not LIVE without Evernote- LOVE IT!!
The only one I’d add that seems to really make a difference on the go for me is Skype–
And I travel a lot and these two apps have been uber helpful in my travels- AroundMe and UrbanSpoon.

Drop box was confusing to me at 1st too, but it is really fairly straight forward. I use drop box on my computer like I use to use the My Documents folder on my PC and Mac
